Government Channel

The City of Albert Lea’s Government Access Channel airs on Charter Communications Channel 180 in the City of Albert Lea.

The mission of Albert Lea Television (ALTV) is to enhance the City’s public information and communications system, involve the community in local government decision-making, and provide useful information to general and specialized audiences.

City Council Meetings air Mon., Wed., & Fri. at 7:00 p.m.
Tues. & Thurs. at 9:00 a.m.

County Commissioner meetings air Mon., Wed., & Fri. at 9:00 a.m.
Tues. & Thurs. at 7 p.m.

Shell Rock River Watershed District Meetings air Tues. & Thurs. at 6:00 p.m. the second week of the month.

Minnesota state law (Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005) requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees." For the City of Albert Lea, titles and salaries as of Jan. 1, 2015, are: City Manager, $118,037.40; Director of Public Safety $103,405.02; and Director of Public Works/City Engineer $100,342.42; Date of publication: Jan. 1, 2015.
