City News August 27, 2025

Age-Friendly Freeborn County will host a community forum on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Albert Lea Fire Station, 417 S. Newton Avenue. The goal is to help residents understand the services and support available for senior citizens. Attendees may from choose from three times: 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The panel will present the same information each time.

The public–private collaboration, known as Age-Friendly Freeborn County, brings together local organizations with a shared mission to improve the lives of seniors by creating an effective network of resources. Organizers believe that every Freeborn County resident is impacted by aging, and the forum will provide an opportunity to learn about solutions that can help everyone age with dignity and support.
