2026 Neighborhood Improvement Project Updates – Job 2601

August 21, 2026 – The contractor began placing the bituminous overlays and will finish on all streets by the end of today. The concrete subcontractor is scheduled to return next week to resume sidewalk replacements.

August 14, 2026 – Work completed this week included installation of the new curb in the Clark Street, Water Street, Adams Avenue and William Street areas, as well as on James Avenue, Frank Avenue and St. Joseph Avenue.

August 7, 2026 – The contractor continued removing sections of curb, gutter and sidewalk in the Water Street/Ermina Avenue area. The concrete contractor will return next week to begin new curb installation in this area.

July 30, 2026 – This week the contractor began curb & gutter replacements in the Lakewood Avenue/Green Lea Lane area. The concrete subcontractor will continue curb & gutter replacements when they return to the project.

July 22, 2026 – This week the contractor continued making repairs to the manholes and catch basins on all streets in the project area. They also began removing the curb & gutter identified for replacement in the Lakewood Avenue/Green Lea Lane area. Next week the concrete subcontractor will begin the curb & gutter replacements starting in the Lakewood Avenue/Green Lea Lane area.

July 9, 2026 – The contractor began repairs to manholes and catch basins in the project area this week and will continue next week. The concrete subcontractor is tentatively scheduled to begin replacing miscellaneous curb and gutter the week of July 20–24.

The contract was awarded to Ulland Brothers, they tentatively plan to begin the manhole and catch basin repairs the week of June 8-12.
