Albert Lea house fire at 410 Pillsbury Ave.

Albert Lea Fire Rescue responded to 410 Pillsbury Ave. at 2:40 a.m. June 20 for the report of a house fire. 

Upon arrival, firefighters found fire showing on the back side of the house and throughout the second story. Firefighters extinguished the fire and remained on scene for about two hours extinguishing hot spots.

No one was inside at the time of the incident, but four dogs were found deceased after the fire was extinguished. The home was deemed a total loss. Damage is estimated at $67,000.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted and worked with department investigators. At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined and the investigation is ongoing.

The Albert Lea Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service assisted on the scene.
