Funded mostly by donations, the Splash Pad opened in 2017 at 107 Fountain St. at the north end of Broadway. It is open at no charge during the summer from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The city plans to build public restrooms to the west of the Splash Pad to serve people at this amenity, on the Blue Zones Walkway or downtown. The restrooms will also be available for popular events such as the Farmers Market, Wind Down Wednesday and Thursdays on Fountain.
