City of Albert Lea seeks developers for affordable housing

The City of Albert Lea is seeking development proposals from qualified firms, developers, purchasers, and builders to develop City-owned property. Additionally, the City offers assistance for redevelopment on non-City land where housing previously stood. Through this Request for Proposals process, the City intends to create a development agreement that establishes terms and conditions while defining the property’s scope, design, use, and development.

Proposals are due April 15, 2026 by 5 p.m.
