City News November 7, 2025
The Albert Lea Public Library invites the public to Bring Your Own Lunch and Learn on Thursday, Nov. 13, with the program, “Pollinator Plantings” presented by Caitlin Olson, a coach with the Lawns to Legumes program of the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources.
The City of Albert Lea recently changed its tall grass ordinance to allow pollinator-friendly lawns, including a permitting process through the Parks Department. With this program, attendees will learn about best practices for planning and establishing residential pollinator plantings.
The program will be held from noon – 1 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Council Chambers on the top floor of City Hall, 221 E. Clark St. There is no registration or fee required. For more information about this program and other events, visit the library’s website.
